Platypus teamed up with Public Library to manage a standout collaboration with Nexgen Touring, uniting two iconic brands in a way that deeply resonated with New Zealand’s fashion and music scenes. Known for its stylish sneakers, Platypus worked with Nexgen to sponsor events that perfectly matched their vibrant, trendsetting audience - specifically The Longline Classic, Plans After & Coro Classic. Bringing the brand to life in a uniquely music festival way; custom Platypus Karaoke stage, mini mic content captured amongst the crowd, exclusive backstage interviews with artists including gifted product, competitions, branded club nights and more.
Public Library took charge of several key activations for Platypus, overseeing social media campaigns and coordinating Platypus's involvement in Nexgen giveaways, ultimately boosting brand visibility and cultivated a loyal following for both brands. A highlight was Plans After, a monthly event in Auckland for young professionals, which rapidly became a cult favourite. With a dynamic mix of house, disco, and techno, Plans After exemplified the collaboration’s success in blending music, fashion, and community.
